The National Debt Doomsday Scenarios: Is There Any Way to Prepare for the Chaos to Come?

As our nation’s debt soars out of control and our so-called leaders in Washington seemed hell bent on taking the country down, what can we as ordinary citizens expect to live through over the next ten or twenty years? What kind of world will our children have to live in? What kind of world will we have to grow old in? If we as a nation don’t start using our heads, this is some of what we can expect.

Living in another third world nation:

You think it can’t happen here? Think again. There are world renowned economists throwing numbers out there like 50% unemployment, 100% inflation, and 90% stock market crash. If this happens we will all be living in another Mexico, Cuba or most likely China.

There will be a never-ending sight of empty stores and businesses, houses in disrepair, people scrambling for food and shelter. The Great Depression of the 1930s will seem like a day at the beach. What will you do to survive?

Buy Gold?

Never in my lifetime have I seen so many pawn shops and jewelry stores advertising to buy your gold. The price of gold is soaring. But if things get to the point where people are starving, how are these gold hoarders going to sell it? You could own 500 pounds of gold, but if you have no food, what good will it do? There might come a day when it will. But that would be a long way off.

What will you need to survive?

To survive you will need to do what is necessary to stay alive. We are talking about people becoming almost like animals. You will first and foremost need to be able to defend yourself. If you have something, somebody else may take it from you by force, ending with you in a pool of blood. So you will need weapons.  Good friends ready to stand by your side can also be a great level of defense. You will need a good hunting knife, a good bow and arrow, and some guns and ammo.

You will need to be able to grow your own food and hunt for your own food. There will be no more going to Wal Mart to get what you need. Wal Mart will be gone. If you can stock up on canned foods before Wal Mart and the others go under, this may buy you some time. Also, you may want to buy up as much propane gas, charcoal, gasoline, batteries and other “disaster” supplies as you can. Unlike a hurricane, this disaster will be widespread and long term.

Scary things you’d never have imagined

The government will likely have collapsed. This means nobody to run the jails and prisons. This leaves two options. Let them rot in there and die or let them out. Imagine a bunch of hardened criminals let loose on society in a survival mode scenario. Now do you see why you need weapons?

You will see hospitals shutting down, turning the sick and injured loose to fend for themselves. Euthanasia will no longer be a moral dilemma. It will become standard practice. Rather than watching loved ones suffer in agony, people will be forced to snuff out their parents and children, even spouses.

Suicide rates soar as many people just cannot cope

Most of us have lived our whole lives with air conditioning and stocked refrigerators. We just have not had to endure times like these. Our forefathers knew how to live off the land. They knew how to defend themselves and how to eek out some sort of life for their children with little or no money. We have never had to do this. Some will not be able to. They will decide it just is not worth it. Some will be your friends and loved ones.

Remember who caused this

People will naturally look for someone to blame for all this. The truth is we are all to blame. Every time we were too busy to vote, we caused this. Every time we just voted for the guy who looks and sounds good on TV, we caused this. Every time we voted for more government handouts, we caused this. Every time we voted for the guy who was going to get even with the evil rich people, we caused this. Every time we joined another union so we could get paid more money to do less work, we caused this. When we elected a president based solely on his race, we caused this. When we started believing everything on TV or in the news media had to be true, we caused this. We have ourselves to blame.

When we embraced many of the same activities that preceded the fall of other nations and empires in earth's history, we caused this.
